Great Honor

Acts 26: 19 - '...therefore King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to that heavenly vision...'

I wanted to take some time and express my condolences and heart - felt gratitude to the fallen fireman this past weekend.  They risked their lives for the cause of saving others.  A memorial is being held in their honor today in downtown Houston.  No doubt, these men, (and a young woman), will be remembered for the sacrifice they made that day.
I wonder how you and I will be remembered ?

What will be your legacy?  Can I tell you that you are shaping your destiny and legacy right now!  The decisions you're making today are eventually going to chart your tomorrow.  People will remember you, however in a different light.  As a child of God, many will remember you for Who You Are, not just what you've done.  Later on in the scripture I showed you...King Agrippa tells the Apostle Paul, '...Paul, you almost persuade me to be a Christian!'

Why did he say that?  He said that because as Paul was testifying, the King could feel his passion for the gospel...it was more than performance, Jesus had consumed his entire life!  When you speak, when you make decisions, how you carry yourself; are people persuaded that this is more than a performance?

Jas. 1: 22 - 24, 'Be doers of the word, not hearers only deceiving yourselves.  If anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man beholding himself in a mirror; he observes himself, walks away, and forgets what manner of man he was.'

James tells us we have to do more than hear the gospel, we have to apply it to our everyday living!  Are you willing to sacrifice your life for Jesus like these brave firemen did for others?  Don't worry, one day you're going to find out!!

You Must

Exodus 33: 15 - The Moses said to Him, "Lord, if Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here." What a powerful time in Killeen TX this past weekend! We were a part of the 2018 Killeen Harvester's Homecoming! It was spectacular! There were wonderful messages from the men of God, awesome testimonies from overseas as well as stateside, and tremendous fellowship and meeting new people. With all that said, there was one thing in particular that stood out to me I want to share with you...during the times of testimony, we enjoy hearing about what the Lord is doing in various churches and the city where they pastor. One of the nights, a young pastor by the name of Miguel Soliz got up and testified about what God is doing in the city he pastors, (Belton TX). He spoke of seeing people saved in his church, and he spoke of God moving on hearts as they evangelize, but that's not what shook me...he also spoke of being diagnosed with Diabetes. And he said...

Need of Ministry

1 Samuel 3:1-14  3 Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. 2 And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see, 3 and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down, 4 that the Lord called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!” 5 So he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” And he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” And he went and lay down. 6 Then the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” He answered, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.” 7 (Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.) 8 And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “H...

Pain

I finally got a chance to speak with pain; I had a lot of questions for pain to answer hopefully. The first question was obvious – Who asked you to come here? No answer Why do you afflict my life? Still no answer Then I realized I was asking the wrong questions, so I shouted out: Who do you think you are? Pain turned around and finally answered, ‘O just a friend.’ Well you’re no friend of mine! At this, pain started laughing hysterically then said, ‘I remind you of your frailty, your capabilities and your nature, without me you would start thinking that you’re perfect; or even God Himself! I thought about what pain said, then he rose up and asked me…’ Can I go now? I have work to do’ So I asked pain, where are you going? He replied, not very far, I’m still working in this house . I begged pain to leave…he said, “I can leave but there’s a problem.” What’s that? He answered, if I leave, you would have no motivation to seek God. With that, pain turned and walked away – ...
