The Great Apostasy
2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in the early morning of 15 April 1912, after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, UK, to New York City, US. The sinking resulted in the deaths of more than 1,500 passengers and crew, making it one of the deadliest commercial peacetime maritime disasters in modern history.
Captain Edward Smith had been warned multiple times for the path he chose to take the ship…
he wanted to set the record for a luxury liner over the Atlantic Ocean, and prove that not even
God would sink the ship! After all of the warnings, his infamous words he retorted were, ‘Push on! Push on!’
I don’t care who you are or who you think you are – you will NEVER win, challenging the power of God! No doubt, we know the history and Captain Smith is dead > fueled by DELUSION. The spirit of today is no different than 100 years ago – NO FEAR OF GOD
Understand, the spirit of this hour is the working of satan himself. The delusions we witness today are the work of hell itself. It is in your best interest to grab your family, grab the bible and run down to the house of God and learn how to save your life!!
This scripture is more than educational…this is a portion of prophecy! Paul told the Thessalonians this will happen, and we are living it today!
I’ve witnessed the judgment of God over people who walked in delusional rebellion:
- Fornicators
- Rebels
- Covetous
- Gossips
It’s always nasty, and the underlining story from all of them is, whoever gets judged is usually a person who has no fear of who God is: ergo, they are delusional.
Delusion has always been associated with mental disorders. Accusing someone of being delusional is accusing them having brain damage.
Basically, it means I don’t care how much reality you show me, I refuse to change my mind…I will not listen to reason! You’re locked in to whatever you believe regardless of the TRUTH…
*If you do not learn to discern lies from the truth, you’re going to go to hell.
We live in a society where a doctor can reach into a mother’s womb, pull a 7-month old child out, snap its neck and proclaim that it was a procedure, not murder! Delusional!!
There was a lady who cut open another woman, pulled the child out, the woman attacked lived, but the baby died – however, the court system will NOT charge her; when asked why – they said, ‘We don’t want to confuse things concerning Abortion!’
Basically, you have a group of people in this world, who stare at truth but REFUSE to acknowledge it as such…this is the epitome of delusion.

11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
ISIS has told us that they are in Africa / Asia / Yemen / Southern Europe – when they gain full power, they are coming to America! They have released 25,000 people from this group into America as fugitives…they are under no deception, the truth is plain and open, yet because of delusion, people will believe a lie!
Revelation 20:4 (NKJV)
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
God told us through John that there is a generation who will go through this! Over 350 Christians in the Middle East have already had their heads chopped off for their faith! Does it make the front page – nope!
The atmosphere of delusion is upon us! We are so enraptured in our own will and pleasure, we can’t discern the truth for what it is!
Sha’Ria Law almost settled in Dallas TX until the Mayor rose up and stopped it!
Several schools in America already recognize Muslim holidays but cannot observe Christian holidays or even say Merry Christmas!
Columbia University are now forcing their students who enroll to take an Islamic Sensitivity Course.
There aren’t any such courses that cater to Christianity or any other faith – we are being asked to coddle a group of people who want to kill you and kill me.
This is the world we live in folks – this is strong delusion! I say bring it on, because we are drawing closer and closer to Jesus coming back for us!!
What we must understand today is, no one can reject the truth of God without succumbing to this demonic delusion.
Some of the things we’ve simply accepted as truth is simply ridiculous but it’s normal today.
- Shacking up before you get married
- Deserve money versus earning money
- Obtaining in 1 year what your parents gained over 20 years
- Sexual promiscuity and drug abuse is normal
- Revenge is justice
- Self above others
Romans 1: 18-19,
‘For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.’
Luke 21:28 (NKJV)
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
As delusional as the world has become, Jesus still tells us to look up, our redemption is on the way!
2 Peter 3:3-4 (NKJV)
3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
We’ve heard so much that Jesus is coming back, it’s lost its urgency in our hearts, but make no mistake, He will return! You know, we are so finite and limited, we calculate time in increments and measurements…however, this is NOT how God functions!
His return will be in His time, not ours…which is why the bible says, we know not the day nor the hour. Time is in the indefinitely limitable durational, within eventuality, distinguished from infinity. So, it’s more than seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, etc. God is not bound by that! He has His time, or the Right Time!
He tells us throughout the word of God that in His time, He will return.
Example:
Recently, I’ve gotten into this cooking fever! I’ve made some meals that my family is quite fond and proud of…in fact, when I was out of town, Jana wanted me home, not because she missed me, but my cooking!! Now, when I cook – I have all the measuring cups, spoons, bowls, pots and pans, etc…all out; I usually follow the recipe to the letter because I want to make sure that it’s absolutely right! Well, as successful as I may be, I’ll never be a better cook than my grandma! I remember as a kid watching her cook – she didn’t use any of the things I use when I cook!
She starts grabbing seasonings, food, doesn’t measure anything – she just knows how much and / or how little to use, and it always came out right!! She would bake things without a timer – never under or over cooked anything!
Her experience, what she could smell, taste testing, etc…she just KNEW…she was unlimited to perfection – I’m confined to time and measurements…Jesus is the same way – He knows when the time is right!
- One day He’s gonna weep for the last time over an aborted child / lost murder victim / missing child / lying man or woman / adulterer / burglar / town gossip / suicidal teen / drunk driving victim – He’ll look up and say the time is right to send Jesus, and Jesus will appear as a thief in the night!
The church cannot fall prey to delusion! If I put on a jersey, does that make me a NFL player? No! If I put on dress blues from the Marines, does that make me a soldier? No! If I put on a dress, stockings, heels, and a wig – THAT DOESN’T MAKE ME A WOMAN EITHER!
Listen, if it takes a man and a woman to make a child, it takes a man and a woman to raise a child!
