Our Need for Him

Psalm 139:1-7

O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?

This is possibly the understatement of the year when I express - "We need the Holy Spirit!"  His ministry is powerful, not only for the church but even in the world.

John 16: 5 - 11, But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?' But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment because the ruler of this world is judged.

As a child of God, it is to our advantage to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In the bible, it was possible to take people to Jesus, much like Andrew did, (We have found the Messiah)...however today, being filled with the Holy Spirit allows you and I to take Jesus to people. Even the fruit of the Spirit can be experienced by unbelievers...Love, Peace, Joy, Longsuffering, etc. all have blessed the saved and the unsaved alike. But there's a problem...

2 Thess. 2: 7 - For the mystery of sin is already at work; and He who now lets, will let, until He is taken out of the way

One day, the church, and the Holy Spirit will be gone. Everything you know, everything you see and do, will be changed forever.

I shutter to think of the ones who will be left behind on that day! Imagine a world without Love, Joy, Peace, Morals, etc...it's going to be absolute chaos...so many things we take for granted are no longer going to be available to mankind anymore, once the rapture takes place. So, are you ready for that day? The bible says that it will be like the twinkling of an eye...only those longing for His return are ready - how about you?

Need of Ministry

1 Samuel 3:1-14  3 Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. 2 And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see, 3 and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down, 4 that the Lord called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!” 5 So he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” And he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” And he went and lay down. 6 Then the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” He answered, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.” 7 (Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.) 8 And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “H...

You Must

Exodus 33: 15 - The Moses said to Him, "Lord, if Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here." What a powerful time in Killeen TX this past weekend! We were a part of the 2018 Killeen Harvester's Homecoming! It was spectacular! There were wonderful messages from the men of God, awesome testimonies from overseas as well as stateside, and tremendous fellowship and meeting new people. With all that said, there was one thing in particular that stood out to me I want to share with you...during the times of testimony, we enjoy hearing about what the Lord is doing in various churches and the city where they pastor. One of the nights, a young pastor by the name of Miguel Soliz got up and testified about what God is doing in the city he pastors, (Belton TX). He spoke of seeing people saved in his church, and he spoke of God moving on hearts as they evangelize, but that's not what shook me...he also spoke of being diagnosed with Diabetes. And he said...

Blind Spots

1 Corinthians 9:26-27 New King James Version (NKJV) 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. A blind spot is an area where a person's view is obstructed. This is usually understood when operating a vehicle, we realize that there are spots on the road where our vision is hindered...it's to our advantage and common sense not to make any decisions moving the car when the blind spot is at work. Not only is this true in a vehicle, it's true in our lives as Christians...there are vulnerable areas of life and if we are not careful...we can fall prey to said blind spots... Matthew 7:3-4 New King James Version (NKJV) 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to ...
