Takin' It To The Streets

Matthew 11:12 -  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

The Potter's House Christian Church of Pasadena TX is on the move! God promised that we would win the city in His name, but it's a battle that we must fight! Just as God didn't simply hand over Canaan to the children of Israel, He isn't going to hand over our city to us, not without a fight!

Isaiah 59:19- So shall they fear
The name of the Lord from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

 That standard was the Word of God itself, and we waived it with honor and humility last Saturday Night! To put it plainly, we took the Lord at His Word, and went to a local movie theater in Pasadena. The aim was to outreach, and get the bullhorn blowing the gospel! We actually have a karaoke machine that we were also going to use for a rap attack but when we arrived, it didn't work properly. We didn't give up though, people were still determined to outreach and lead people to Christ...a brother in the church, (Felipe), got an idea - he told me to hook my phone up to his sound system to play the instrumentals; he has a very loud sound system. After this was arranged, we used the bullhorn as a microphone, and voila, it was on and poppin'!!

God had given us absolute dominion in that parking lot! People were getting saved all around us, and even begin to help us pass out fliers and witness! It was amazing! Another brother in the church, (Rene), actually stood on top of Felipe's car and started street preaching!! You could actually hear him all the way up to the front of the movie theater - people were staring at us, driving through, even the police stopped by to check on us, making sure that WE were protected!!  HA! I give the Lord all the glory and praise for what He did that night...

Acts 17: 6b, '“These who have turned the world upside down have come here too."

This is our mantra, this is our calling, to take our city and turn it upside down for the gospel of Jesus Christ! The heart of Jesus, His passion has always been the souls of men and women...I have come to know that sinners are not the enemy...they are the prize!

Continue to pray for us, as we take our city in Jesus' name!

Exodus 33: 15 - The Moses said to Him, "Lord, if Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here." What a powerful time in Killeen TX this past weekend! We were a part of the 2018 Killeen Harvester's Homecoming! It was spectacular! There were wonderful messages from the men of God, awesome testimonies from overseas as well as stateside, and tremendous fellowship and meeting new people. With all that said, there was one thing in particular that stood out to me I want to share with you...during the times of testimony, we enjoy hearing about what the Lord is doing in various churches and the city where they pastor. One of the nights, a young pastor by the name of Miguel Soliz got up and testified about what God is doing in the city he pastors, (Belton TX). He spoke of seeing people saved in his church, and he spoke of God moving on hearts as they evangelize, but that's not what shook me...he also spoke of being diagnosed with Diabetes. And he said...

Need of Ministry

1 Samuel 3:1-14  3 Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. 2 And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see, 3 and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down, 4 that the Lord called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!” 5 So he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” And he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” And he went and lay down. 6 Then the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” He answered, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.” 7 (Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.) 8 And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “H...

Misplaced Love

2 Samuel 12:7-10  7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your keeping and gave you the house of Israel and Judah.  And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!  9 Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon. 10 Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ Lust is a very powerful thing…this is beyond something sexual…I know that tends to be the preconceived idea whenever you hear that term, however, ...
